Welcome to Gan B’nai Shalom Preschool - a preschool where children receive a stimulating, creative, and nurturing learning experience that provides them with the foundation to grow educationally, socially, and spiritually.

Inspired by Jewish values, our program provides opportunities for children’s exploration, self-expression and strong community building. Each child is special and unique. We encourage each child to develop as an individual and as part of the Jewish community. 

Our goal is to make learning exciting through a hands-on-approach. We strive to encourage our children to be creative and independent thinkers, as they increase their self-confidence, enhance their independence, and develop a sense of responsibility all within a cultural Jewish framework.

OUR PROGRAMS

Gan B’nai Shalom Preschool has age-defined core programs. We maintain a low student/educator ratio so we can pay attention to the unique needs of each child and provide a more intimate learning experience. In addition to the core programs (9am-3:30pm), we offer extended day enrichment. (7:30am-9:00am and 3:00pm-6:00pm extended care)

OUR CURRICULUM

The children explore and play through activities that encourage them to discover, observe, and question the world around them. Focusing on a play-based curriculum, our program offers creative art projects, science exploration, critical thinking activities, and dramatic play. Language art skills and gross and fine motor development are stimulated through a variety of individual, small and large group interactive experiences. The children have opportunities for quiet and active play, in addition to staff initiated activities. Daily use of our outdoor environment includes a play structure, a sand area and bike riding area.

Judaism is fully integrated into our preschool curriculum. The child becomes familiar with the joy of Jewish ritual observances surrounding Shabbat, holidays, and kashrut. They sing and dance to the music of Jewish songwriters and learn short Hebrew prayers and blessings. During the course of the year, the children develop a Hebrew vocabulary related to our daily activities and holidays. Most importantly, the children learn and live Jewish values as they develop a strong sense of community.

OUR EDUCATORS

Our Early Childhood Educators are a collaborative team of caring, creative, committed leaders who have experience and skills that complement each other and provide exceptional opportunities for your child. All of our educators have been properly licensed, first aid and CPR certified, and have undergone extensive background checks. They fully dedicate themselves to our students’ development and happiness. They are a friendly and approachable group and maintain close relationships with our student families throughout the school year. Come and get to know them! We welcome and encourage parental involvement and volunteering whether inside or outside class.
