We view children as competent and capable. Our goal is to help children realize their potential by supporting the continued development of competence. We use guidance strategies to support children’s abilities to problem-solve as independently as possible. We believe children learn best through play because it makes learning authentic and valid to children. Our environment serves as co-teacher. Much thought and reflection goes into planning the environment to be safe, comfortable and inviting.
